ABOUT THE ARTIST

Thaddaeus J Arvie, a Louisiana native, is a resident and working artist in the city of Houston Texas. Arvie received his bachelor’s of fine arts from Grambling State University in 2011. Shortly after, he moved to Houston in pursuit of more opportunities.

Early 2013, Thaddaeus began participating in small underground art shows and markets. As he worked on perfecting his craft and maturing into his own style, Arvie managed to get some experience in murals. Arvie worked alongside the Mayor of Ville Platte, Louisiana to transform two buildings for the Boys and Girls Club project in 2016 and 2017. He has also worked with local Houston proprietors such as Franklins Tower, Inside out Bar and the Cheesecake Factory to bring a unique environment to their business.

During this time Arvie also began to host his own small underground events. By trial and error he learn to become an event planner, creative director, and all around self managing artist. Between 2014 and today, Thaddaeus has put on a total of 10 successful art/music based events.

In 2019, Thaddaeus started Creatively Insane Paint Class. These events include a fun instructoral paint class combined with party features such as drinks, fun music, trivia games, and social media worthy pictures. Not only does Creatively Insane Paint Class host parties, but offers a team building package to businesses looking to build employee moral. Arvie has worked with Minute Maid Park, University of Louisiana Women’s basketball team, as well as Little Woodrows Eado. Creatively Insane Paint Class has also worked with non profits to bring art therapy classes to youth in rural areas in Louisiana where there is no exposure to the creative world.

In 2020 Thaddaeus Arvie has just been inducted into John Ross Palmer’s Escapist Mentorship Program. This unique opportunity has already been a great learning experience on how to navigate the mainstream art world. Thaddaeus will get a chance to go through a empowering program that provides studio space, intimate interactions with collectors, and also one on one coaching with an establish full time artist of 25 years.
